The House of AltaRasa

Where fashion, culture, and design meet.

Experience has the power to define a moment. Whether it's a journey to a new destination, a meal at a new restaurant, or the discovery of a new clothing label, what stays after is rarely just the product or the service. It's the experience that shapes a lasting impression. The modern customers look beyond the product. They seek platforms or environments that invite them and make them feel involved.

With this very vision and intention, we’ve designed our store.

For our founder, Lopamudra, AltaRasa has been a way of discovery. Rooted in her travels across South Asia, it is a platform that she’s built to bring together designers whose work reflects versatility, endurance of style, and contemporary relevance. A hub where every piece of textile and accessory is selected beyond its aesthetic appeal, a perspective that it brings to the modern wardrobe.

"AltaRasa came from a way of seeing that I learned early on. It is built on choosing with care, creating wardrobes that continue to grow through the chapters of our lives. I was always drawn to fashion that offers range without overconsumption, intelligence without loudness, and clothing that champions personal choice," says Lopamudra.

Recently opened in the Defence Colony area in New Delhi, India, the AltaRasa experience center is designed by Namrata Dutt, founder of Maison 15. Based on Lopa’s vision, the store’s interior draws inspiration from the historic Spice Route. With vintage maps, compass motifs, and constellations spread across it, the space reflects a journey, a cultural exchange, and a narrative of adaptation. Adaptation of the traditional charm into a contemporary zeal. Every section of the store unfolds as a new narrative, discovering fashion through movement rather than just display.

For Namrata, the spice route inspiration is an extension of the brand’s identity. Customers are welcomed through an Aalta (a deep ceremonial crimson-red dye traditionally applied to the hands and feet in South Asia) coloured door before being greeted by a chandelier from ‘Shades of India’. A custom-made piece handcrafted using fragments of fabric and yarn, binding the space. According to Namrata, one of the store's most distinctive design elements is the cube-shaped changing room. Thoughtfully ideated to make even the fitting experience immersive.

Visit the AltaRasa store and experience something beyond a retail destination,  a physical expression of the brand's philosophy. A place that celebrates the art of discovery, the value of thoughtful clothing, and offers your wardrobe a perspective to grow, evolve, and sustain.
